About the Wall(s) of Beer :

The wall(s) of beer are made from cans from British Columbia breweries collected from some time in 2021 to June 2026. We (wife Sian and I) wanted to include only the beers we liked. There was a fairly low bar for a beer to be included. A beer was selected if we thought we would want to drink it again. Frequently we would say that we were glad to have tried a particular selection, but we don't need to have it again. This beer wouldn't qualify for wall. About 1 in 4 cans made the cut.

I kept a list of the beers that made it to the wall. See the Excel file linked from main page. (I continue to update this file from time to time adding new beers that would have made the wall of beer cut.) I realize that it would have been a more useful list if it had included beer sampled and rejected, so you would know which products to avoid. But tastes vary - your wall would be different from my wall. All these beers were bought at Jak's on Granville Street (near 10th) in Vancouver. They have an exceptional rotating selection of tall cans. Too many IPAs though.

The last photo in the sequence above, is the fourth and final wall of beer. As the walls got bigger, different constuction methods became necessary. Consturction details on the "making of" pages.

An additional note. I say this is about BC breweries, but I couldn't help including two cans from a non-BC brewery - the very excellent Yukon Brewing in Whitehorse. Close enough.
